How do I identify which MMI my Q5 has?
Look at the centre console controller. A plain rotary dial with a colour screen indicates MMI 2G or 3G. A touchpad on the dial indicates MMI 3G+. Newer flat menus indicate MIB or MIB3. If unsure, send a photo of your console.
Will the Q5's parking sensors and 360 camera still work?
Yes. The CarPlay module runs alongside the factory MMI, so parking sensors, the reverse camera and the 360° camera (where fitted) all continue to operate when CarPlay is installed.
Does the Q5 kit work with the Bang & Olufsen sound system?
Yes. Audio routes through the factory sound system. The Bang & Olufsen amplifier and speakers continue to work. The CarPlay module does not replace any factory audio components.
How long does Q5 installation take?
