A5 model generations and MMI systems
- A5 8T (2007–2011): MMI 3G. Plug-and-play kit.
- A5 8T facelift (2012–2016): MMI 3G+. Same harness, slightly larger screen.
- S5 / RS5: Same MMI system as A5. Compatible with same kit.
How the installation works on an A5
Access via the glove box (4 screws, ~10 minutes). Connect the CarPlay harness between the MMI box and existing wiring. Total install time: 60–90 minutes.
